TLILIC2001 Licence to operate a forklift truck

Successful completion of this unit of competency from the Transport and Logistics Industry training package will allow trainees to apply for a nationally recognised licence to operate a forklift. Training options are offered to meet the individual needs of employers and trainees.

Australian Skills Management Institute (ASMI) offers employers flexible learning packages for training their staff in a time efficient manner and at an affordable cost.

All high risk work licences, such as forklift operator, are governed by strict requirements set out by the both National and State occupational health and safety regulatory bodies. The packages provided by ASMI meet these requirements as well as the delivery requirements of TLILIC2001

Pre-requisites

Trainees must possess basic literacy and numeracy skills. (See the LLN Entry Test)

There is a legal requirement for holders of high risk work licences to speak and understand the English language. Translators for an assessment are not permitted by current legislation.

To apply for a high risk work licence in Queensland it is necessary to have a residential address in Queensland or be able to provide evidence of the need to work in Queensland.

Candidates must be 18 years old in order to be assessed for the nationally recognised licence.
